Since 2015, FPA has experienced rapid and continued growth as the organization expands to meet the needs of the communities served; including more than 30 PFA team members, four locations, and thousands of lives changed. The Coalition provides a variety of innovative early learning services to Lake County families including, child care resource and referral services, subsidized child care assistance and Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten program eligibility services. Child care services are offered to children ranging from birth to age five, as well as after school programs for children to age twelve. The School Readiness Program offers financial assistance to low-income families for early child education and care so families can become financially self-sufficient and their young children can be successful in school in the future The Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Education Program prepares early learners for success in kindergarten and beyond. Children must live in Florida and be 4 years old on or before September 1 of the current school year to be eligible. The program helps build a strong foundation for school using educational materials that are geared to various stages in a child’s development. Our Mission To educate and support parents, early childhood professionals and the community as we collaborate to continue to provide the highest quality early learning programs for our children. The Space Coast Field of Dreams is an all-access, multi-sport park in West Melbourne, Florida built for children and adults of all abilities to have a ball. The only sports park of its kind in Florida, this park was the brainchild of Jim Tapp, a retired New Jersey firefighter who realized that Brevard County had no place for kids and adults with disabilities to play sports with their able-bodied peers. After many years of passionate persistence, Tapp’s dream became a reality when then Brevard County Commissioner Robin Fisher decided it was time to make his dream become a reality. Today, this over $5 million, 5.5 acre park is open to children and adults of all abilities to have meaningful recreational experiences. A state-of-the-art soft surface playground, all-accessible soccer and baseball fields, a basketball court and playground are what you’ll find at the Space Coast Field of Dreams. Leagues, programs and community events also are offered throughout the year. In addition, on-site staff and a concession stand for drinks and snacks are available daily.
