UCF CARD – How Parental Thoughts can Affect Children’s Behavior

February 11 @ 8:30 pm - 10:00 pm

Cognitive distortions are exaggerated/irrational thought patterns that can lead to changes in behavior. This training will briefly review cognitive distortions, how thought patterns can affect a parent/caregiver’s behavior, and ultimately the child’s behavior. Participants will learn about strategies for changing thought patterns and learn about the research that shows how positive changes in such patterns can improve a parent/caregiver and child’s life.
