The purpose of the Early Learning Coalition of Osceola County is to develop and implement programs and services that increase access to high quality early learning for every child. The aim of these programs is to ensure optimal child development by supporting parents in preparing their children for school, and providing professional development to early learning providers.
The Early Learning Coalition of Pasco and Hernando Counties, Inc. is one of 30 Early Learning Coalitions in Florida. It works to ensure that programs and services are available to assist families with young children during their formative years. Through a variety of affordable and innovative early education programs, the Coalition serves more than 12,000 children ages birth to 5 years old and their families. Research shows that attending high-quality prekindergarten programs has a lasting impression on a child’s success in school and in life. Florida decided to put a stronger emphasis on education at an earlier age by developing the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) program.
A program focused on helping families find quality child care that fits their individual needs, as well as provide referrals to other organizations that may provide additional assistance for anything from food and clothing to car seats and other child safety equipment.
Transition to VPK, child care resource & referral services, free vision, and health screenings and inclusion services. Inclusion Warm-Line helps with concerns about growth and development, behavior, classroom strategies, and referrals to other agencies.
Easterseals provides exceptional services, education, outreach, and advocacy so that people living with autism and other disabilities can live, learn, work, and play in our communities. The Murray Child Development Center provides childcare, parental support, and early intervention services needed to support success.
