The Early Learning Coalition of Pasco and Hernando Counties, Inc. is one of 30 Early Learning Coalitions in Florida. It works to ensure that programs and services are available to assist families with young children during their formative years. Through a variety of affordable and innovative early education programs, the Coalition serves more than 12,000 children ages birth to 5 years old and their families. Research shows that attending high-quality prekindergarten programs has a lasting impression on a child’s success in school and in life. Florida decided to put a stronger emphasis on education at an earlier age by developing the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) program.
